This is the end of the beta period, ManiaDrive is now available in its first public release: ManiaDrive 1.01 ! The game is now featuring a solo mode with 12 levels and 25 online tracks, growing each week.

Source ARE available. See download page. If you want HTTP (and not SVN) access, see Raydium website, a nigthly tarball is available.

The game looks good. Please write the license conditions on the homepage. Otherwise the GNU-hippes get confused. Perhaps you could add them here:

The car could handle more like the car in TM Nations, now it handles too "springy" and jerky. It should slide more instead of tipping over. This is an arcade game after all! And there should be a obvius way to change the screen resolution. Had to edit game/raydium.db to get 800x600 resolution and a stable framerate on my puny GeForce4 MX 440 gpu.

the game is quite nice, but the cars behave weird when in air :(

and also... the textures... O M G! we have graphics cards with more than 1 meg of ram these days, so please make hi-res textures! maybe (if you wish so) as a seperate download! and after like 1 meter the texture uses the next mip-map level or whatever it is and becomes quite blurry (just look at the road while driving)... maybe a graphic details option would be nice for this kind of stuff...
im not quite sure about tga vs png, but maybe using png for the images would help decrease filesize of the textures

timonator : the problem is not graphic cards but to find people who can help us on that point (is this your case ?). And graphic cards are obviously not supporting PNG (nor TGA) in hardware ...

Can you say more about weird air-behaviour ?
