ManiaDrive 1.2 : No more crashes !

Thanks to the reports we've received since ManiaDrive 1.1, here it is the 1.2 release: No more crashes, freezes, black screens and coredumps at startup (when no hardware shader was found or with indirect rendering). A small bug about help messages with beginners tracks is fixed, too.

Thanks again for all your reports, and have fun with this new bright and shiny cleaned release !

i've been a great fan of "stunts" a.k.a. "4D sports driving" back in the MS-DOS days.

now i'm sitting on a macintosh, and i wish there was a fun and simple game like that for my macbook pro.

then i google, and find this site.

now, you can guess my question ;)
IS THERE (going to be) A MAC VERSION ?
or can i run the linux game on my macbook pro?

About a native PPC version of the game, I'm afraid that we're far from being able to release anything... The whole game engine (Raydium) was designed for Linux/win32 x86 targets in mind... And we've no PPC maintainer in the team right now (this is an SOS ! :)

Compiling the game under a PPC Linux is probably the better solution ... It will probably require a few reports and fixes, but it should work :) If you're a PPC Linux user, feel free to contact (and join ?) the team (see forum, link is on the top banner)

Et une version Macbook Intel c'est pas envisageable?
Après tout c'est du x86 et sur MacOS X y'a X11, OpenGL et d'après google ODE semble dispo également.
Perso je vien de m'en offrir un tout neuf (en complément de ma bécane sous Linux) et je connais pas trop la machine pour l'instant mais ça pourrait être une bonne occasion de m'y mettre si tous les prérequis sont présents.

sorry, should have mentioned, the macbook pro is an intel-mac.

but the previous two comments are also concerning the intel-mac, so i'd say there is some degree of WANT-TO-HAVE from the mac population.

i am sorry, i have NO idea how to code, so i can't help.
but if you need a beta-tester, i could help!

I have some ideas for ManiaDrive 1.3, hope you enjoy them ;-)

a) more cars, not only Renault Clio ;-) (I want limousine :D)
b) where is map editor? I downloaded latest windows binaries and i havent find map editor (is it exe file?)
c) more maps (for begginer mode)
d) music can be disabled - great! but what about "wrrrrrr" while driving?! :D

I have more ideas (and better), but I completely forgot them now.
